Do you want to change your shape, your weight and your Fitness level? Or get ready for a one off occasion? Maybe a kick start into a new lifestyle? Learn excellent training practice? Do a challenge program that boasts you can have permanent change? Then this is the challenge for you!
The Body Change Challenge is an 8 week program that will change your eating habits and exercise routine with the goal of ‘stripping’ fat whilst maintaining your lean mass.
You will train 3 times per week with some of Cardiff’s best Personal Trainers and receive an easy to follow, healthy and sustainable diet plan from one of South Wales’ most successful Nutritionists.  You will be fully supported throughout the whole of the 8weeks by the experts so you know you will be heading in the right direction.
The program will include a variety of different Strength and conditioning training, with each session in the week focusing on a different aspect of your fitness.  The sessions will be progressed each week and set at the right intensity for you on an individual basis.  Therefore, whatever your starting fitness level is, you can do this program!  Please don’t mistake that for ‘its going to be easy’, because believe me, you will break through the ceiling of your perceived limitations and find out what you can really do!
The Body Change Challenge is different from the other body change programs because we are just as concerned with what happens at the end of the program, as what happens throughout! The support doesn’t end after you have finished the 8 weeks.  We are interested in permanent change, which means making sure you are supported in what you do next… As well as all the support, advice and motivation during the 8-weeks, you will receive an exit meeting with Emma, the course director, where we will plan and organise your next phase of training, so when you finish this program fitter and leaner and more motivated than before, you will have your next fitness challenge, whatever that may be, ready to go!

I started with Emma because I needed to get fit for a specific fitness test. Being a beginner to exercise, I didn’t know where to start. I told Emma what the fitness test required and she came up with a plan for each session. She trained me to do exercises I wouldn’t have thought of trying – and definitely wouldn’t have attempted doing. But she gave me the confidence to try different exercises and kept me motivated. Emma taught me that having a positive state of mind is key to achieving anything. Although my goals have now changed, I’m keeping up with the training and using the knowledge I gained from training with Emma.

I trained with Emma on a one to one basis before starting the Body Change Challenge, and once I started that, I realised that it is entirely up to me to change. Without my own commitment, nothing happened, but once I had committed to it, the change was visible within a short space of time. I’m now at the weight I was ten years ago, but my body has never been so toned and fit before. Emma challenges you, and workouts are never easy, but they’re varied and fun. Since working with her I’ve also become a lot more conscious that it really IS the combination of food & exercise, never just one or the other which will change your body, and faddy diets simply don’t work. It will be a lot easier in the future to make the right food decisions, even when travelling with work, which so far has always been a challenge. Exercise is a part of life now and the new goal is to tone up a bit more, but definitely not go back to where I started!

With not only my 30th birthday, but also my wedding fast approaching I knew I needed help to get the results I wanted to drop one or two dress sizes and to tone up.

Working with Emma gave me the motivation to regularly attend the gym – and to drag myself out of bed early in the morning! Routines were always varied and pushed me to work harder than I could ever hope to achieve on my own. But ultimately she got results – my shape started to change and I was gradually losing the weight (which has stayed off unlike with the faddy diets I had so often tried). Also when my weight started to plateaux she helped me to revise my diet to ensure I reached my goals.

Needless to say I did reach my goals – I lost a stone and a half, dropped a dress size, reached my healthy BMI, reduced my body fat and had a fantastic wedding day!
